Byron is a native of Tennessee and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. Following 2-years with the US Geological Survey, he entered engineering consulting where he spent more than 35-years providing a wide variety of stormwater and floodplain management consulting services to public and private clients.
In 2021, Byron joined the full-service engineering design firm EVS, Inc. which supports industry leaders nationwide with solutions for utility-scale solar plants, substations and energy storage facilities. He serves as the Water Resources Group Leader where he leads a Team that performs 2-dimensional numeric modeling of rainfall and runoff processes to estimate flood risk for renewable energy projects and to establish design constraints.
