Eric Haxthausen is Senior Advisor for Climate, Partnerships and Innovation at U.S. Trade and Development Agency. In this role, he is providing strategic leadership to USTDA’s initiatives to support climate action by connecting U.S. industry to partners in emerging markets that seek to deploy innovative clean energy and climate-resilient infrastructure solutions.
Haxthausen previously served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development; as Director of U.S. Climate Change Policy for The Nature Conservancy, as a member of the steering committee of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership; and as an economist at the Environmental Defense Fund. He has also worked as a consultant on climate and energy issues, and served in the White House Office of Management and Budget, where he provided coordination and oversight of regulatory policy on air pollution from industrial and mobile sources.
