For over a decade, Cara Merriman has specialized in renewable energy and infrastructure deployment. Currently as Vice President of Corporate Development at Inspiration Mobility, a Macquarie and Arclight-backed financer and developer, she leads energy partnerships and project development initiatives to accelerate deployment of EVs for fleets. Cara is a leader in the C&I energy transition. Most recently, she served as co-general manager of commercial solar at Sunrun and directly oversaw the business unit through a successful acquisition and dramatic growth phase, guiding the +125 person team to secure over $150million in project incentives. Prior, Cara served as a senior associate with Sunrun's Project Finance and Asset Management group, during the time the group raised +$500MM to fund solar projects. Previously, Cara was a partner at Heikkinen Energy Advisors, a boutique energy investment and advisory firm and as an commercial analyst at Woodside Energy, focused on offshore Gulf of Mexico operations.
Cara received a BA from Johns Hopkins University and completed coursework at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is currently an advisor with One Tam parks non-profit group in Marin County, CA, a climate venture mentor at GreenHacks and a volunteer with Clean Energy for America Action (PAC).
