Marsh’s Energy Practice in April 2021 as a Client Executive.

Al brings over 20 years of energy insurance and risk management experience, both in underwriting and brokerage to Marsh. Before Marsh, Al worked for Gallagher as the Executive Director of the Power and Utilities Practice. During his time at Gallagher, Al focused on developing the energy practice, focusing mostly on the renewable energy- (Wind/Solar/Geothermal/Biodiesel and Biofuels). While at Gallagher, he managed the largest solar hail claim for an existing client, working closing with the removal/testing/construction and commissioning team on the claim and placed the first Off-Shore Wind Project in the USA.
Underwriting Experience:
Former Head of Underwriting North America, for the largest renewable energy managing agent (GCube), with accountability for all Underwriting in North America. Responsible for placing the treaty and placed complex renewable energy programs (construction and operational) for utility scale projects as well as independent power producers. Lead the team that managed the largest battery energy storage system (BESS) claim in the property insurance industry.
