Andrew leads Canadian Solar’s global policy and market development team. He works with external stakeholders to ensure Canadian Solar is well positioned to positively impact policy and market development in key markets. Before joining Canadian Solar, Andrew led Sol Systems’ domestic energy policy and external affairs team as the Vice President, Policy and External Affairs. He joined Sol from the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) where he served as Director of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs, U.S. climate and energy. While at EDF, Andrew helped shape EDF’s domestic and international advocacy strategy.
Before joining EDF, Andrew served as Vice President and General Counsel for Hickory Creek Ventures, LLC, a strategic consulting business focused on the nexus between natural resource production, legislative reform, and technology innovation. Immediately preceding Hickory Creek, Andrew was an Operational Officer and Vice President for Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent in Tulsa Oklahoma.
In addition, Andrew serves on the board of directors for the Solar Energy industries Association (SEIA), is the immediate past Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Renewable Energy Coalition and was a past member of Virginia Clean Energy Association and Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association boards of directors.
Andrew has held many appoints, most recently on the advisory board of SAFER PA, then Virginia Governor Northam’s Natural Gas Workgroup, and then Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry’s advisory council for the Oklahoma Commission on Marginally Producing Oil and Gas Wells.
Andrew received his B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Oklahoma State University and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and the District of Columbia.
