Annie Lappé, Vice President, Strategy & Impact
Annie spearheads Pivot Energy’s social impact strategy. She directs community engagement, community investment, and corporate social impact work. Annie has over 20 years of experience managing exceptional teams and driving progress on solar energy and energy justice advocacy campaigns. She loves to build systems, programs, and practices that deliver social impact, help people thrive, and support teams to effectively achieve their missions. She spent the majority of her career at Vote Solar, a national clean energy and energy justice advocacy organization. At Vote Solar, Annie sat on the executive leadership team and was responsible for managing the programmatic team to deliver wins to move the U.S. to a 100% renewable energy electricity system.
Earlier in her career, Annie ran clean energy policy campaigns in Western states and at the Federal level for Vote Solar, SunEdison and the Alliance to Save Energy. She holds an MA in Environmental Policy from Oxford University and a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz.
She lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and their two girls. They power their house with solar and love to cruise around as a family on their electric cargo bikes.
