Amy Jo Miller is Sr. Director of Policy and Market Strategy at Qcells USA Corp. Qcells USA is a utility-scale solar and energy storage developer, EPC provider (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) as well as Independent Power Producer. Amy Jo spearheads Qcells USA Corp.’s involvement in Federal, State, Utility/RTO/ISO, and some local affairs regarding utility-scale solar and storage. Amy Jo has developed Qcells USA Corp.’s regulatory policies, collaborated with Development leadership team regarding greenfield campaigns, and has initiated corporate wide programs to further develop employee professional development.
Amy Jo serves on the SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) Board of Directors. Amy Jo was awarded Top 50 Women Leaders of Missouri in 2022 and Nominated for 2023 Women of Renewable Industries & Sustainable Energy Award for Leadership, Mentorship, and Advocacy.
Prior to Qcells, Amy Jo lead the Energy Team at Charter Communications (Spectrum – Fortune 67 Company) in Scope 2 reporting and developed strategies to meet the company’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2035. Thus, Amy Jo has 1st hand experience of being a corporate buyer of energy and advocate of sustainability.
Amy Jo also worked at a Fortune 300 Company – Ameren (utility in IL and MO). She spent 7 years in policy and worked in Enterprise Risk Management. Thus, Amy Jo has in depth knowledge of risks and opportunities that utilities face today. Amy Jo also chaired the MISO Supply Adequacy Working Group to move to the zonal construct that exists today.
Prior to Ameren, Amy Jo worked both MISO and ACES Power Marketing with experience in Client Relations, Scheduling and Settlements.
Amy Jo has 3 kids and a loving husband. She resides in St. Louis, MO. She enjoys being a den leader and the chartered organization representative (liaison to pack and the elementary school PTO - chartering organization).
