Access to reliable power infrastructure is the single biggest barrier standing between the country’s transportation decarbonization goals and the adoption of zero emission vehicle fleets at scale. Cumulative annual energy demand from commercial fleets is expected to reach at least 64 TWh by 2030. As it stands, the country’s grid is nowhere near ready to support this level of demand. This session will examine the lessons learned from thought leaders in the many sectors required to come together to build America’s charging infrastructure, including renewable energy, transportation & smart logistics, climate finance, and critical infrastructure. Panelists will evaluate regulations and financial incentives driving the adoption of zero emission vehicle fleets, analyze challenges that threaten to delay the country’s transportation decarbonization targets, and discuss strategies for accelerating the deployment of zero emission vehicle power infrastructure at scale.
