Capturing competencies and capacities in domestic manufacturing for the renewable market is and will continue to be a major challenge to the continual growth of the renewables in this country. This presentation will go into detail on manufacturing competencies and capacities within the US. It will focus on manufacturing trends within in the steel, aluminum and plastics domestic industries. I will offer a look at manufacturing for renewables using domestic supply chains and the challenges renewable companies face and will continue to face over the next few years of industry growth. I will offer detailed approaches to assure renewable companies are correctly analyzing competencies and capacities for their manufacturing supply chain needs. Not only will manufacturing competencies and capacities be important, but understanding governance within US manufacturing companies will allow renewable companies to properly align themselves with the US manufacturing supply chain partners they need for current requirements and future growth.
