TechTalk: Flow Battery Reliability, Availability, and Lifetime

Flow Batteries are regarding as a leading option for medium and long duration storage, in which Reliability. Availability, and Lifetime (RAL) are key considerations for developers and customers. Reliability engineering is a well developed field, with many academic publications, technical reports, and known methodologies. However, these references and definitions have not been fully defined for Flow Battery products and technology. With increasing deployments globally, there is an increasing urgency to the development of common definitions, tools and techniques for flow battery RAL measurement. IES will share these developments at IES, as well as insights into the results from early field deployments around the globe.
