Last year, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis announced a partnership commitment to invest $1 billion in EV charging, doubling the number of DC fast chargers across North America and others have made recent expansion announcements. This presents a unique challenge and an opportunity for the industry to invest these dollars strategically – in ways that increase charging station profitability for site owners, meet the needs of tomorrow’s EV drivers, and expands access to public charging.
