Utilities are revising projections for load growth based on a host of factors, including the spread of electric vehicles, building electrification and the load from data centers and other high demand nodes. This session will explore ways in which this will impact the appetite to include more investments in renewables and particularly in customer-sited distributed assets. Does projected load growth create more opportunities to deploy community solar+storage. How does projected load growth from electrification impact revenue requirements and rate design in Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and Distribution System Planning (DSP)?
