Dr. Puzant Baliozian currently serves as the sector leader for the VDMA PV Equipment Group, where he leads techno-economic studies on photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing capacity along the entire value chain. He also advocates for the interests of European PV equipment manufacturers on the global stage. Under his leadership, the VDMA PV Sector Group publishes the annual International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaics (ITRPV), offering key insights into emerging technology trends and projections.

Dr. Baliozian holds a degree in physics and earned his Ph.D. in engineering while working at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg. His research there focused on photovoltaic production technologies, and he is notably recognized for his development of passivated edge technology for advanced industrial solar cell designs.
