Rodrigo Inurreta Acero is U.S. and Mexico federal affairs lead at EDP Renewables North America. Prior to joining EDP Renewables, he worked as a government relations consultant for several Fortune 500 energy companies. His focus areas include U.S. energy and trade policy, as well as the political processes inherent to the Mexico-U.S. bilateral relation. Since the approval of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), he has led EDP Renewables’ efforts to keep track of the implementation of the energy tax incentives included in this pivotal piece of legislation. Rodrigo holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM), where he graduated with an honorable mention, and a Master of International Affairs with a specialty in Global Energy Management and Policy from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. He’s the proud owner of the two nicest and friendliest tabby cats on Capitol Hill.
