Jade loves being directly engaged with innovators and startups that are taking on solving climate change. As a seasoned founder herself, with over 15 years focused on renewable energy, rapid prototyping, and robotics, Jade fully understands how to elevate and empower other startups to access idea stage funding and get traction and investment. She is one of the 2% of female founders who have raised VC investment, managed multiple hardware makerspaces, did business development for a startup that won the MIT Clean Energy Prize, and has served on the Virginia Governor's Council for Youth Entrepreneurship. She specializes in renewable energy centric, JEDI, hardware based, and social impact driven startups that want to use technology and innovation as tools to change the world.
Last year she launched Positive Deviancy's Embryia Accelerator program where they provide tiered support services to early-stage renewable energy hard tech startups where they receive free support (0% equity and no Fee) to benchmark solar and battery tech startup hardware, assess technology readiness levels, receive DOE Innovation Funding support tied to the American-Made Solar Prize, and gets matched with field pilot partners (Primarily in Underserved, Rural, or Energy Burdened Locations) all over the US.
