Gabe is the Director of Markets and Technology for the LDES Council, where he focuses on market changes, accelerating pathways for diverse long duration energy storage technologies, and working with LDES Council members on project tracking, mapping, and research. Gabe has 15 years of energy industry experience and formerly served as the storage sector manager at the California ISO. There he focused on strategy for grid evolution, including evaluation of LDES as the California energy market as a pathway for reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Gabe developed models available for storage resource participation on the grid, improved tools available for operators to manage storage resources, and participated in conversation on grid makeup with state regulators. He holds a master’s degree in economics and an undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering.
