Yok leads the Policy focus area at the Smart Electric Power Alliance. In this role, her focus is on strategic and innovative policy research and initiatives, and providing thought leadership and collaborative approaches to accelerating carbon reduction goals.
Yok brings over 18 years of industry experience in various leadership and engineering roles at the Grid Operator level in Reliability and Market Operations. Her leadership roles included the administration and management of MISO's (Midcontinent Independent System Operator) $1.5B Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) Market and in Operational Forecasting where she developed international collaborative partnerships across the energy industry. Her engineering roles included NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) system operator-certified real-time control room operations as well as electricity market design, testing, and systems integration.
Yok holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis.
