Angelina M. Galiteva is a prominent figure in renewable energy and power systems. Since 2021, she has led California's Statewide Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES) initiative, becoming its CEO in late 2023. ARCHES aims to decarbonize California's economy and create a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem.
Angelina founded the Renewables 100 Policy Institute, dedicated to accelerating the global transition to 100% renewable energy. In 2011, she was appointed to the California Independent Systems Operator (CAISO) Board, becoming its first female Chair in 2020. Governor Newsom reappointed her for a fourth term in March 2023.
She also chairs the World Council for Renewable Energy and is a founding board member of the Global Clean Energy Desalination Alliance. Angelina is an expert in renewable energy, new technology implementation, power system optimization, and environmental policy. She frequently represents the US State Department on renewable energy and power grid issues.
As founder of NEOptions, Inc., Angelina develops renewable energy products and projects. Her previous roles include Executive Director of Strategic Planning at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and work at the New York Power Authority. Angelina has overseen numerous utility-scale renewable energy projects, bulk storage installations, and microgrid developments. She has experience in electric vehicle-to-grid programs, hydrogen and fuel cell infrastructure, and financing large-scale renewable power projects globally.
With JD and LLM degrees in Energy and Environmental Law from Pace University, Angelina is a globally recognized expert in designing regulatory structures to support carbon-free technologies and the transition to a resilient, carbon-free future.
