Ben Hoen is a Staff Research Associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Ben conducts research and analysis on renewable energy, including: renewable energy policy analysis and assistance; cost, benefit and market analysis; and, public acceptance and deployment barriers. Ben’s research on public acceptance of renewable energy has been published in multiple journals and he is often cited in the press. Ben has spoken to a wide variety of audiences including the press, professionals in the solar industry, real estate, appraising, and state and federal policy makers. Ben holds Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and General Business from University of Maryland and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy from Bard College.
