Senior Environmental Manager Fluence Energy Apex, North Carolina, United States
This session will cover a comprehensive carbon footprint study from raw material extraction to end-of-life of one of Fluence’s largest Turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation projects in the world: the Eleven Mile Solar Center, in Coolidge Arizona, USA. The results, including specific opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and environmental impact are discussed. Finally, it highlights the pivotal role of such assessments in the pursuit to reshape the power landscape, and the applicability and scalability of this analysis for other BESS carbon tracking and product passport initiatives.
