One of the most generous tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act is the production tax credit for making hydrogen, which is worth as much as $100 billion. The stakes are high for putting this money to work effectively, and there's little real-world precedent to rely on for the nascent green hydrogen industry and technology. This session will provide insight into some of the key challenges and how they were overcome, during implementation and integration of the energy management system for Australia's Yuri Green Hydrogen facility. The industrial-scale renewable hydrogen production facility includes an 18-megawatt solar power plant, an 8-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS), and a 10-megawatt electrolyzer. Session participants will hear recommendations that will help shape their approach to ensuring stable renewable power production for optimal renewable energy efficiency and profitability of a green hydrogen facility.
